Do I need a MeroShare account to use Punji?

No. You can enter holdings by hand and use the market, watchlist, alerts, screener and calculators without connecting anything. MeroShare import is a shortcut for people who would rather not type their portfolio in.

Where do my MeroShare credentials go?

Your MeroShare password, CRN and PIN stay on your phone, in encrypted secure storage (the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore), and go only to MeroShare when you act. They are never sent to Punji. A sync does send Punji the holdings, the account’s BOID and an account reference that includes your MeroShare username.

Does Punji tell me which stocks to buy?

No. Punji shows what the market did and what your own position looks like, including the tax and fees a sale would carry. No stock is recommended and nothing is presented as advice. The decision stays yours.

Is the market data live?

Through NEPSE trading hours, Monday to Friday, prices refresh live. Outside those hours the app shows the last close, labelled as such, so a stale number is never mistaken for a moving one.

Is the app in Nepali?

Yes. Every screen is available in English and नेपाली, including Nepali numerals, and you can switch at any time from the profile tab.

Can I use these tools on the web instead of the app?

Some of them. The calculators, screener, heat map, compare and stock pages have web versions built from the latest NEPSE snapshot. Your portfolio, alerts, MeroShare import and the practice arena are app-only, because they are tied to your account and your device.
