Account and login
I can't log in
Punji uses email and password. Use Forgot password on the login screen to receive a reset link. The link expires after one hour. If the email doesn't arrive, check spam, then write to us with the email address you registered with.
How do I change my email or password?
Profile → Account → Change email / Change password. For email changes you'll need to verify the new address before the change takes effect.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Account → Delete account. Confirming starts a permanent deletion of your holdings, watchlists, alerts and account credentials. Encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. If you can't access the app, email [email protected] from your registered address and we'll process the deletion within 7 business days.
Market data and portfolio
Prices look stale or wrong
Punji refreshes the live feed during NEPSE market hours (Sunday–Thursday, 11:00–15:00 NPT for regular trading). Outside those hours the snapshot shown is the last close. If a price looks wrong during market hours, pull-to-refresh; if it persists, email us with the symbol and a screenshot.
My portfolio numbers don't match my broker statement
Punji computes from the transactions you enter — broker commission, SEBON fee and DP charge are applied per the standard NEPSE schedule. Brokers occasionally bill differently on bulk lots. If something looks off, open the transaction in Punji and compare against your broker contract.
Alerts and notifications
I didn't get my price alert
Alerts are evaluated by our backend and delivered as a push notification. If you didn't receive one, check:
- System notification permission for Punji is enabled.
- The alert is active (not paused) in Alerts.
- The price actually crossed your threshold during market hours.
- An alert in cooldown won't refire within 1 hour of its last trigger.
Still missing? Send the alert ID (long-press the row → Copy ID) to [email protected].
Ads and tracking
Why am I seeing ads?
Punji is free for everyone and supported by banner ads on a handful of high-dwell screens. There is no paid tier to remove them today — keeping the full feature set free for every Nepali investor matters more.
How do I turn off personalised ads?
On iOS, open Settings → Punji → "Allow Tracking" and switch it off. You can also reset the first-launch ATT prompt from Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Once off, you will see non-personalised ads instead — same number of ads, just not tailored to you.
Does Punji share my portfolio with advertisers?
No. Your holdings, watchlist, alerts and transactions never leave Punji’s servers and are never sent to ad networks. The only signals ad networks receive are the standard device-level ones iOS lists in the ATT prompt — and only if you grant tracking. Detail in the Privacy Policy.
Data export
From the portfolio tab, tap the menu and choose Export portfolio to download your holdings as a CSV. The file includes symbol, sector, quantity, cost basis, current value, holding period and the estimated CGT bracket for each holding.
Bug reports and feature requests
Email [email protected]. For bugs, include steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behaviour, and a screenshot or screen recording if you have one. For feature requests, the more specific the use-case, the more useful — "I want X because Y" beats "please add X".
Security
Found a security issue? Email [email protected] with the word SECURITY at the start of the subject. Please don't publicly disclose until we've had a chance to ship a fix.
