1. Who we are
Punji is operated by an independent developer in Nepal ("we", "us", "Punji"). The Punji mobile app and the service that supports it are owned and operated by us. Contact: [email protected].
2. What Punji does
Punji is a NEPSE-focused investment tool. It surfaces live and end-of-day NEPSE market data, lets you record holdings and transactions to compute portfolio P&L, provides a floorsheet view, watchlists, price alerts, a stock screener, a calendar of corporate events, and a hub of NEPSE-specific calculators (Buy, Sell with CGT, Weighted Average, Bonus/Rights adjustment, Dividend, CAGR, SIP).
Punji also offers optional Mero Share features: using your own Mero Share login, you can apply to IPOs and FPOs and check allotment results across your accounts from within the app. By entering your Mero Share details, you authorise Punji to use them to sign in to Mero Share (operated by CDSC) and carry out only the actions you confirm, on your behalf. Those details are stored only on your device and are never sent to Punji’s servers. Applying for shares blocks the application amount in your own bank account under C-ASBA; allotment is decided by the issuer and CDSC, not by Punji. You are responsible for the details you enter (units, CRN, transaction PIN) and for keeping your Mero Share login confidential. Punji is not responsible for Mero Share or CDSC availability, rejected applications, or allotment outcomes.
3. Not financial advice
Punji is informational software. Nothing in the app, including indices, prices, floorsheet attributions, broker activity, calculator outputs or any other content, constitutes investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Market data is sourced from public NEPSE endpoints; we work hard to keep it accurate but make no warranty of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
4. Your account
You need an account to use Punji. You agree to provide a real email address and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at [email protected] promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, mirror or otherwise systematically extract market data, floorsheet attributions or any other content from Punji for redistribution.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive source code from the app, except where local law expressly permits.
- Use the service to facilitate market manipulation, insider trading or any other unlawful activity under Nepali law or any applicable jurisdiction.
- Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of any system or network, or breach security or authentication measures.
- Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the app or its data without our written permission.
6. Ads and analytics
Ad-supported model
Punji is free to download and free to use — every feature is included for every user. The app is supported by advertising delivered through a third-party ad network, shown as banner units on a small number of high-dwell screens. There is no paid tier. The ad provider is named in the Privacy Policy as required by Apple and Google developer disclosure rules.
Ad personalisation and ATT
On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt asks for your consent before the advertising identifier is shared with ad networks. Denying the prompt results in non-personalised ads; granting it results in personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time from iOS Settings → Punji → "Allow Tracking", or from Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
What is shared with ad networks
Only the device-level signals iOS / Android exposes to the ad SDK (and only the advertising identifier if you granted ATT). Your portfolio holdings, watchlist, alerts, transactions and email are never sent to ad networks. Detail is in the Privacy Policy.
7. Market data and third parties
Market data and corporate-action information shown in Punji is sourced from public NEPSE endpoints and reformatted for display. NEPSE remains the source of truth for official market data. Punji relies on a small number of third-party service providers to operate; details are described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its source code, design, brand, copy and visual identity are owned by us. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use Punji on devices you own or control, for your personal use, subject to these terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
9. Your content
You retain ownership of the holdings, transactions, watchlists and alerts you enter. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display this content as necessary to operate the service for you. We do not use your portfolio content for advertising or share it externally.
10. App-store specific terms
If you obtained Punji from Apple's App Store or Google Play, you also agree to the applicable store's end-user terms. Where any term of those store agreements conflicts with these terms, the store agreement controls only to the extent of the conflict and only as between you and the store. Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not parties to these terms and have no obligation to provide support for Punji.
11. Termination
You may stop using Punji at any time and delete your account from Profile → Account → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the security of the service. Upon termination your right to use the app ceases; provisions of these terms intended to survive termination will survive (disclaimers, IP, limitation of liability, governing law).
12. Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy or timeliness of market data.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Punji is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or any loss of profits, trading losses, revenues, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of these terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) NPR 5,000.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Punji and its operator from any claim or demand arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your violation of applicable law.
15. Changes to the service
We may modify, add or discontinue features at any time. We avoid breaking changes that would remove data you've entered without giving you a chance to export it first.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in-app. Continued use of Punji after a change indicates acceptance.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Nepal, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction grants you the right to litigate locally.
