How it works
From download to a
tax-clear sell — four steps.
No broker setup, no API keys, no spreadsheets. Punji does the boring parts so the trading stays the only thing you think about.
01
Begin
Download. Sign in. That’s all.
Grab Punji from the App Store and create an account in under a minute. No broker, no API key, no spreadsheet import.
02
Add
Tell it what you own.
Enter your buys — symbol, quantity, price, date. Punji takes it from there: live value, sector mix, gains, losses, all kept in sync with the market.
03
Watch
Set a price. Get on with your day.
Watchlist anything on NEPSE. Set a price you’d act on — Punji notices when the market crosses it and taps you on the shoulder. Your battery stays cool.
04
Sell
Sell with the number you’re keeping.
Tap the holding when you’re ready. The net payout — after tax, after broker fees — appears before you confirm. No spreadsheet beside the phone.
- Where does the market data come from?
- Directly from the official Nepal Stock Exchange feed during market hours. Punji handles the plumbing so your phone just shows the result.
- Do I need a broker login?
- No. Punji reads market data and computes your portfolio from the holdings you enter. There is no broker authentication anywhere in the app — and that is on purpose.
- How accurate is the tax calculation?
- It applies the Nepal Inland Revenue brackets to the lot you intend to sell — short-term, long-term, and broker fees included. The output matches what your broker would compute. Not legal advice; verify with your advisor for edge cases.
- Is my portfolio private?
- Holdings, watchlists and alerts stay on your account — never sent to ad networks or analytics. Face ID or fingerprint optionally gates the device-local view.
- How does Punji make money?
- A few small banner ads on a handful of screens. Never over the data you came for, never mid-action. Every feature stays free.
- Can I export my data?
- Yes. Your portfolio exports as a CSV from the portfolio tab. Punji doesn’t lock you in — your data is yours.
